The Lanark Fall Trial is held on the Makin Farm, west of Hopetown. The trial will start at 11.30 on September 25th and is open to all levels and both vintage and newer trials bikes. It is a fun event, with self scoring. There will be easy section paths for beginners and more advanced paths for more experienced riders. There is a $5.00 charge to cover insurance and other expenses. Contact Patrick Hampson (613 435 0278) or Doug Hunter (613-826-3748) for directions or more info, or contact cvmgottawa@gmail.com

Give it a try - it is a lot of fun. Or just come to watch the entertainment.

We are also looking for volunteers to help establish and mark the sections for the Lanark Fall Trial. The main day for the set-up will be Sunday September 18th. After the set-up there may be an opportunity to do a little riding. Please contact Patrick Hampson for for directions, or contact cvmgottawa@gmail.ca . If we get sufficient volunteers it shouldn't take too long. Bring some refreshments and a snack. Hopefully the bugs will be gone !!!! - No experience necessary.....

Cheers...... Patrick Hampson

10 excellent sections (new and modified traditional ones)ready to go !
Just show up and have some FUN whatever your age and skill level.
Although this is aimed at vintage twinshock bikes, monoshock machines are very welcome and trust me there are lines to suit all bikes and skill combinations.
Hope to see you rain or shine at this very fun event.

We had a beautiful day for the Fall Trial. Again many thanks to Judy Makin for allowing us to use the property.

We had 10 registered riders, however we received $61 in donations, so maybe we had a couple of phantom riders!!!! Unfortunately there were other events on the same day that probably reduced the rider turnout.
Of the 10 registered riders, 6 left score cards. There were no A-line riders, 3 B-line riders, and 3 C-line riders

The scoring system was slightly different for B line and C line riders. B-line rides scored 0,1,2,3 or 5. C line riders scored 0,1, 3, or 5. So the C line riders may have been able to save a point or two if they had used the same scoring system. The B line riders had the scoring correct, The possible scores in each section consist of 0, 1, 2, 3, or 5.

Results based on best 3 of 4 laps.

1 Reid Masson. B-Line 15 points Honda TLR200 1986
2 Bill Bak B-Line 28 points Suzuki 1977
3 Gary Neff B-Line 31 points Yamaha TY175

4.Patrick Hampson C-Line 61 points Yamaha TY175 1975
5 Eric Brackenbury C-Line 68 points Yamaha TY175
6 Heinrich Teworte C-Line 75 points Honda TL250 1978

In addition to the riders who produced scorecards, John Makin (Suzuki), Mike Snider (GasGas), Chris Rebhan (Honda TL125), and Hugh Henderson (Honda TL125) also competed.
