KTM Screw-In Funnel, 3D Printed Locally, Cool!

Ran across this on Kijiji, works well.

For KTM models with side oil drain, I would say a screw-in oil drain tube is essential - otherwise you need to remove skid plate to avoid a mess (or at least I do).

A screw-in funnel like this is not essential, but is convenient. As a plus, it has an air supply tunnel (top left in photo) so fill is quick.

If you have access to a 3D printer, I suspect you can find the model file on thingiverse.com.

Two caveats:
  1. I had to touch up the start of the threads with a file before it properly screwed in
  2. while the plastic material withstands oil it does not withstand heat - anything above 60 degrees C is a problem. So let motor cool some before threading in. Not a problem for me - I always set things up to drain, go do something else, come back and finish
