I recently added a vehicle to my TD Insurance policy and got my green plated bike re-quoted. To my surprise the rate was lower then past quotes and I moved it over.
The agent told me they recently changed their policy on off-road dirt bikes and now insure them all, they just need to be registered. You also don't need your M license for a green plated bike, which was a requirement in the past.

I don't know if lower cc bikes and kids are good to go, sharing the discovery.

Good info!
I pay about $75/year each for a 150 & 250 Honda 4-stroke and $90/yr for a Beta 300 for liability only via Desjardins all on green plates.
I also called the Desjardins outfits that sponsor OFTR and pricing is all the same no matter what location your policy is through.
What's TD pricing like?

I’m looking at insuring 2 green plate bikes and will call the above and report back (bikes coming next month) but I quoted my road going bikes and they are all cheaper than who I’m with now so looks promising

Hello fellow riders,

We are back for 2025 as a proud insurance sponsor of the BMA.

Reminder to make certain you purchase auto insurance for your tail bike. You are required to have liability insurance coverage, as a minimum, to ride Ontario provincial trails or crown land.
