Anyone doing it this year?
I'm wondering how it should be done? Alone or Group?
This is the first time I will be doing it, should I just carry a bunch of tools and do it alone?

My buddy and I are also doing the Cord for the first time. We registered at the same time and requested that we start on the same minute. Our plan is to work together as much as we can with the aim of finishing without houring out. I have no idea what will actually happen in the race.

The only advice I have been given is to treat it like a trail ride. I interpreted this to mean that if you "race" the cord rather than just "ride" it, you will tire yourself out too quickly and crash more often.

I have no expectations going into the race. I would love to say that I finished, mainly because the more I get to ride, the better I feel. But from what I have heard, the Cord has a funny way of making many grown men (and women) cry.
