I got them as a gift for Christmas only had a chance to try them last week.
The are just too big for me. If you normally fit an XL/XXL size knee pad, these would likely be a good fit. The knee cup is very large and the lower-portion of the pads can accommodate large calves.
They are really well made and comfortable. The hinged-knee cup offers some knee-brace type support. But they are not meant to be knee-braces... Just well made, articulating knee pads. The top strap goes above the knee and keeps them from sliding down. The lower portion wraps half-way around your calf... but I could still get the top buckle of my boots done up.
I was looking forward to using them this season. They are basically brand new (couple of scuffs where they articulate from the one use) and exactly as shown in these pictures.
