Anybody Riding Apollo/Orion Bikes?

I am totally new to the sport, or least have not rode in the last 30 years ;-) I am interested in getting into trail riding again w/ my 12 year old son.

From what I can gather the Chinese bikes, Apollo/Orion, have come along way in the last decade. Is anyone using them?

If you're serious about "investing" in the sport as far as actual trail riding and hoping for a long term interest (and not just backyard bashing), I would suggest the used market with mainstream Japanese brands, those toys seem to be very resilient, parts a plenty and will hold their value very well when maintained for if or when you want to upgrade (talking about mainly Yamaha and Honda recreational line bikes). I alot of these cheap Chinese bikes are parts clones, so while you can replace with genuine Honda quality when they break, might as well get the real thing.
