New KLR Rider Saying Hello!

Hello all

I just bought me a 2008 KLR and am looking to get in some trail riding on unmaintained public roads.

I took my first trail today until I ran into some water then high tailed it out of there with my fender between my legs.

Hi and Welcome!

A couple of observations:

1. Is that crime scene "yellow" tape I see?
2. I'm thinking 4x4 or Quad if you want to stay upright and dry in that last photo (on the far right).

That trail or road may need to dry out a little bit more. I am interested but I'm thinking "August" or "September" :shock:

I think that local hikers put up the tape to discourage ATV and motorcycle usage. Its city property though and says "use at own risk" so to bad for them.

I think the water is from all the rain we had a couple of days ago. I'm going to go back in a week to better map out the trail.
