Limerick Forest in rough shape

Was riding in Limerick Forest with my son on Sunday (a week before Christmas - who says 'global warming' is a bad thing!)... Might get out again this week.

The forest had alot of large fir trees down on the popular dual- and single-tracks. Sure made it difficult to get around. There's a big clean-up to come next spring...

Didn't see any bikes (or snowmobiles) on Sunday but alot of 4-wheelers.

I was out there last week. Just went for a walk through the woods and ran into some hunters! I thought they had specific dates back in November for hunting in limerick.

That was rifle season for Deer. Grouse and rabbit is still open until the end of the year.

Thanks for the heads-up! We didn't realize that hunters could still be around. I'm not surprised though; I went for a run (ala jogging) through the forest yesterday and was continually startling grouse and deer.

Well, I guess that's what 'multi-use' is all about.
