Hello,

I have an XR650L with the standard 12L tank. Will there be gas along the route or should I bring a supply?

Thank you,
Scott (new BMA member)

Hi Scott,
We haven't got the D-S route finalized yet but I plan to take us past one gas stop and very near another on Saturday's ride. I doubt you would need to bring gas. What is your range in km?

Hi Terry,

I think we met at the Limerick Forest family day event a few weeks ago?

I've done some gas tracking and found the following to be as close to accurate with my bike:

The range is not the best with the small gas tank on the XR650L. I get about 140 -150KM hwy driving but less when I combine off road driving. I ran out last time around 110KM. I did not use much of my 2L reserve however I don't want to be pushing that BRP through the forest and up/down hills <smile>

I look forward to your updates on the DS ride at Calabogie. Have a good day.

Scott.

Don't worry about gas. There are gas stops at @80km intervals.
We can tell you where to fuel.

Perfect. thanks.

will there be route markers showing where to "dive" for gas when the time comes?

gas stops are marked as gps waypoint fuel icons as well as the fact you will dive right by them.

cheers
