Need gasket removal tips

I had to change my stator case and in the process replaced my first engine gasket, what a pain in the ass.
The gasket was still stuck to the engine case, in pieces, it took me forever to get it off as I didn't want to scratch or ding the surface.

Any tips / tools you guys use to make this job easier ?

I've used plastic putty knifes in the past. I've heard people mention using plastic razor blades.

Surprised it stuck, I find it's usually only a problem on gaskets that have been on there for a long time.

Just be gentle! It's a Honda! No need for razor blades that I use on the leaky KTM!

Grease or oil the new gasket so it won't stick next time.
