klx 351 hard to start hot

I have a 351 with the pumper carb. I find the Hard start depends on how the bike stalled. It gets real sensitive to flooding so I usually tip the bike a bit to free up the carb, let sit a few seconds and the it usually starts. Running a bit rich doesn't help matters.
Other cause could be worn rings or valves out of spec. I did consider adding a hot start (would take a bit of work) but it wasent been that big of a problem. Pm if you need more info.
