Installing the piston (wrist) pin clip is a pain in the a**. You can try to do it by hand, if you have strong fingers, but it’s easy to scratch the side of the piston. You can use pliers, but risk over stressing the clip. Both these methods can cause the clip to fly across the shop never to be seen again, or in your eye (always wear eye protection)
I found a great tool the installs the clip in seconds. The C-clipper at http://www.buxtools.com/ tools installs the in seconds. It’s a bit expensive, and each tool only works on 1 or 2 pin sizes, so you may need more than 1 tool for all the bikes in your garage.
