registering a motorcycle

looking at purchasing a dual sport motorcycle. Current owner has it registered with a "brown ownership" (in Ontario). I want to get it blue plated and street legal. Is there more involved to it, other than just insurance, safety and a trip to Service Ontario, due to the fact that it's not blue plated now? Never had to deal with street legal motorcycles registered as non street legal before. Thanks!

I've never done it but I've read that chaining a bike from off road to on road can be a big pain in the butt in Ont. I believe you 'll have to prove that the bike was made as a on road bike and that the manufacture intended for the bike to be ridden on road in order for them to change it.
