Marks Misery and the hill out of Oriole Lake cleared today before the “Tornado warning events” so who knows if it stayed clear… feels like we’re playing Checkers while Mother Nature is playing Chess

I am aiming on getting out Saturday 18th.

I expect to do DMZ (hopefully to Bartaw camp?). Was out Wednesday for a ride and there is new downfall (not that bad though).

I have a club chainsaw and I do not think I can get out Sunday, so if anyone wants it I will park at the HGC.

This thread will be used to help cleaning crews focus on trails that need work and keep track of what is cleared for riding.

-Establishing new paths around fallen trees is not an authorized practice by MNRF, doing this on a wide scale could harm our relationship with MNRF and our access to the trails, we also lose flow and exacerbate erosion
-Cut 18" to 24" on both side of the trails when possible
-When reporting a trail as cleared, please ride / clear the entire length of the trail

Please reply with the work you completed so I can update the list
Prioritize single track trails!

Mountain Chute area, South Lavant and M&M will be posted later

4x4 / ATV updates; https://www.eotb.ca/trail-status/

Bompass is a gong show. We turned around. mcGone was only slightly better but we only got 80% of it done. Little Depot between Bompass and McGone is not passable and also private so not sure if we should clear it.

Little depot from McGone to Bartraw (DMZ) is crown land and the only trail through. We'll have to clear it eventually to connect that network of trails. Agreed the section you mention is private, we are not touching that.

Hey, A friend and i are free this weekend and are trying to see if we can get out to Calabogie this weekend to help with the cleanup. Is there much left?

There is a tone of work still needed. Take a look at the first post there is an update list of what has been done and what needs to be completed. Someone will also most likely post a ride so keep an eye out for them.

Great, this is our first time to the area so we thought it would be a good way to help and get a feel for region.

There is a couple of campgrounds around , not sure if they are good or not but you can camp on Crown land for free.

Cannot do Thursday. Saturday looks like day now...I am planning on getting out on Thursday June 30th. Probably look at clearing Sleep Hollow, Fanny Hill, Mail Lake, River Run. Depending on how much work is required!

Please let me know if you are coming out. Will probably start from High Falls parking area.
